I've never actually bought an external hard drive before and would really appreciate some help here. Out of the following two, which one is better?

I like the look of the Lacie hard drive more, but I have no idea what sort of hard drives they use, where as I've never had any issues from the various Seagate internal hard drives I've used in the past.
I just need to offload some large non-essential files (but stuff I wouldn't like to delete) from my internal drives to free up space for other data.
Is there anything else I should consider?
