help choosing new nvidia card max £200

a bit confused there is an 460 with 2 gig memory

460 2GB isn't worth it, better off going for a 470 (preferably the Gigabyte SOC version) if you don't mind the extra heat/power consumption.

What's your budget? You might be able to get a 2nd hand 470 for about £150.

ok well this is helping a lot,now I know this 460 with 2 gig is not worth it.
I'll get a 470, with the nice fan If my wallet is still alive in 2 weeeks

Gigabyte has lower power consumption and supposedly properly cherry picked cores for low leakage/power use.

this alone makes it worth it.

the msi ones are hit and miss. you may well get one that doesnt overclock well at all.

In two weeks there are 3 new cards coming out. Who knows, with a little bit of luck you might be able to get even better for your money.

and its a good point.... with the 500s coming out asap, these 400s are losing a lot of value...it may prove wise to wait just a week or so.

running low res 1280x1024 may change monitor later this year for a 22/23" res will be higher

and its a good point.... with the 500s coming out asap, these 400s are losing a lot of value...it may prove wise to wait just a week or so.
