Hi

I need 4 new tyres for my car, the wheels are 16inch rims 7 inch wide.

I previously had 195/45/16 toyo proxes t1s which were good tyres but they scrubbed on full lock, lower profiles would solve this imo. The tyres also seemed lightly stretched... this leaves me preferring tyres in the size 205/40/r16 which happen to be really uncommon and expensive!

I managed to find a set of YOKOHAMA 205/40R16 83V PA01 PARADA tyres for £276
anybody think this is a good price or could suggest a better solution for me?

well thats reasuring,

what do you guys think of the paradas?

The Parada Spec 2's have had the most dry grip out of any of the performance tyres ive used T1-S, Avon ZZ3, Yoko A539, P-Zero Nero. Not tried F1's.

However the wet grip is average/poor compared to the above tyres.

Wear quite quickly too due to them being soft compound.

rG- raves about them too, has had a few sets on his mondeo iirc.

Got about 15k from my T1-S and 10k from the Paradas, could argue i drove harder on the Paradas but i thought they seemed softer, after some use you could run your thumb accross the tread and take worn rubber off :)
