Hi all,
I recently purchased a Vector VDM01 computer desk and diligently de-dusted and installed all of my components carefully into this new beast. Now all seemed well until midway through doing nothing of importance (surfing web) the computer switched itself off and then on again as if I had held in the restart button?
Upon reboot everything seems fine but I was a little concerned so I checked connections and again everything good. Been using it for about a week and yesterday morning it wouldnt start at all (no lights no response, nothing). So I removed all connections to the motherboard, and the CMOS battery. Left if for 5 minutes and hey presto its back up and running again)....
This morning whilst doing nothing in particular again it switched itself off and on again!! Back in after reboot, no issues and nothing to report in event viewer apart from unexpected shutdown..
Has anyone any idea of could be causing these issues? I initially thought it might be static build up or something but Vector have assured me this shouldnt be an issue as the components ground themselves through the PSU, being plugged in).
Your help would be grately appreciated.
Powda
