I've been tasked with making an online help/knowledgebase area for our company. It doesn't need to be anything too flash, something similar to http://help.xero.com would be more than enough.

Has anyone got any experience or tips? Initially it would just be text/pictures but we might want to add video tutorials at a later date.

Looking for ideas on how to implement the index/search/etc rather than actual design advice.

Thanks in advance :)

I don't know whether it's the 'best' way of doing it, but we use a very simple Wordpress setup to handle our online help.

Was damn easy to do, and we can give several individuals administrative access so that they can manage the articles on an adhoc basis.

Search is built in, our customers can subscribe via RSS for new 'tips of the day' additions and of course we can brand the layout using CSS to retain a corporate identity throughout.

Like I said, probably not the 'best' way, but it's certainly serving its purpose very well.

any chance of sharing the link or is it on your intranet only? I've already used Wordpress for my own websites in the past so if I can knock something up in that it would save me learning another CMS (I know my way around Jooma and Grupal as well but that's it).

Unfortunatley not as it's behind a login screen, but if you want I can get some screenshots if that helps.
