Help deciding on a replacement card

Ok so it looks like my MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III Boost Edition might of died so I am going to be RMA'ing it, but I am thinking of buying a replacement while its away

I have been out of the loop with this new batch of ATI cards so wondering if someone can recommend a good replacement for the £200 mark

If it was me i'd wait until the other card comes back, sell it and buy a 290/780.

I don't think a 280x will be that much of an upgrade as they are pretty much rebadged 7970's, iirc the 7950 wasn't that far behind a 7970 performance wise.

I would get a rough idea of how much your fixed GPU will sell for and add that to your budget.

So if you can get £100 for it, go for a £300 GPU such as an R9 290 custom cooled version.
