Anyone able to give me a link to a free partition manager so I can recover an unallocated partition? I've just reinstalled windows and the second partition (200gb of a 320Gb drive) is missing,

cheers in advance

When you say "recover" it, do you mean get back what was there before? Or do you mean, you want to enlarge your existing partition to use the entire disk? Or do you want to just create another partition?

Check in Disk Management (right click on My Computer, pick Manage and it's available in the list on the left of the new window). You can use it to create new partitions or if the partition already exists it may just need imported as a foreign volume.

Great tip ...took two minutes to find the unallocated drive and re-order the drive letters. Fanatastic help!
