Help finding a driver

A mate of mine has reinstalled windows on an old PC. He is giving the PC to his sister. In device manager the ethernet has a ?. How can we find what driver it needs. I have told him to try running hwinfo but he says that is no help. Is there a program he can run to tell him what onboard ethernet he has?

He says hwinfo tells him he has

intel 915gv (grantsdale-gv)+ich6 chipset

nec computers international ms-7069 motherboard

I have done a search for that motherboard drivers and the chipset but with no joy.

Is it a prebuilt PC? Or custom built?

If it's prebuilt, check the manufactor's site and see if there are any drivers there for it.

If it's custom built, then run CPU-Z to check the name of the motherboard. I Find this program more reliable. Then post the name of the motherboard here.
