Help finding a replacement capacitor.

In the office today and a power supply for a legacy peice of kit has failed. Stripped the supply down and have found my faulty component so went to a well known highstreet store that sells components and it appears that they don't stock the correct capacitor.

Could anybody point me in the direction of a replacement cap... pic below.

I did mate but there are several similar caps which have slightly different specs over the standard 400v 150uf 105oc. My question is does it matter what cap as long as it meets these standard specs?

Edit: model is TAICON and there is something on there which states 0433(M) - My google foo is clearly weak today as I get nothing....

how does this one look? I am working with fine space constraints and the panasonic above is 25mm wide but I only have 22mm of space to work with.

The current one is less than 20mm (looks like 18mm).

Should be fine..... or you could do whats called in the industry as a Botched Job and use extender wires..... I did somthing simaler when a CAP went on a PCD board on my Boiler and part of the Track melted also.

I traced where the track went and solderd one end of the CAP to the start of the track using some spare wire...... Worked a treat otherwise i would have had to buy a new PCB board for the Boiler It turned a £130 fix into a £2.49 fix

Happy Days.... Boiler still working 3 years later :-)

Oh yea forgot to mention even had a trusty "Gritish Bas" LOL engineer comment on a job well done when he came to do a Gas safty check. LOL

Awesome... I have one being delivered to me tonight so will give it a bash. Must admit it might be time to replace the kit but if I can squeeze a few more hours from it all will be good :)

Forgot to mention that in the end I called a buddy who works for an industrial electrical firm (hence the evening delivery). Will update on my progress. :)

One.... Just one... It may be worth getting two or more just incase they pop aswell if so there an underline problem...... Always the case with CAPS.

I don't think it actually popped, it appears that the leg simply corroded away at the join to the cap, this is lucky really as I have now used the spare metal from the leg to repair a seperate part of the supply which I accidently broke when dissasembling... For some reason there is a huge sheet of copper spanning the entire top of the supply connecting one side of the pcb to the other for which I accidently broke a mount. The old leg was trimmed down and soldered into position as the new mount.

Happy days.
 
Ah, component level repair. None o' this chuck the pcb and buy a new one stuff. Happy times. Tell kids that nowadays... they don't believe you :)
 
RS Components would be my first port of call. Although I may be able to get a cap for you of the same spec and put it in the post, it's only small and I do electronics at school :)
 
So a friend of mine delivered the components last night and i spent ten minutes and soldered them into place.

New caps are slightly longer but overall a job well done :)... thanks for the help guys:



And the massive ammounts of glue is apparantly a hp standard, every component was pretty much caked in it.
