Hey guys, I bought one of these Sony iPhone docks recently, but I seem to have lost the charger for it! The only one I can find online is from an authorised Sony parts seller here and they want £112.99 for it! I only paid £50 for the dock!

Can anyone help me find a cheap one please? Here's a photo of the connection I need:

14.5V is a strange voltage and there's not much out there with that rating.

15V however is more common and would be fine. According to the spec of the dock you need a 1.7A power supply. Again that's an odd amount so I'd go for something bigger. Maybe something like this...

The 0.5v difference will make no big difference. Besides the electronics are probably regulated down to 12v and 5v inside anyway.

The DC plug is a funny one and it's typical of Sony to put a properietary connector on the end to make it tricky for anyone to repair their own stuff.

Anyway I found this..

Not sure if the sizes are right as it's for a laptop. Get a ruler and measure the size of the outer hole and the size of the inner collar and hole and see if it is.

All you'd need to do then is hack off the standard DC plug, then solder the sony one one, insulate, test for polarity and job done. 5 minute job maybe?
