HELP, first time w/cooling

I would recommend retiring your case. The Antec P180 is not am ideal platfom for a custom water cooling loop esp since you want to cool the CPU & GPU. You would need 3 x 120mm rads to provide cooling and maybe a 4th 120mm rad which would probably clash at the back of the case with the CPU. I had an Antec P193 case, which is great for aircooling but poor for watercooling.

You could certainly get away with CPU cooling using an all in one closed loop system off the shelf. To do watercooling properly you will probably need a budget in the region of £400-£500 quid, so its not cheap.

I am in the process of building a custom loop as a first timer, so I might start a build log to help others out.

In terms of cases I went for a NZXT Switch 810 Ultra Tower Case its not bad for the price.

For compatable GPU blocks for your GFX card check out this link from EK http://www.coolingconfigurator.com/

I am considering a new case atm,

I was looking at this one but not sure?

wasn't too sure about that case for watercooling but I think it would be perfect no hard drives or psu in the way.

can anyone look over the list I made of components to buy and let me know what they think :)?

The link you posted won't show what's in your basket, it'll show the basket of whoever clicks it :)

Follow these instructions to post a basket here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18371076

Got it thanks mate:)

All looks good. Glad there is a block available for your gpu! Personal preference would be primochill tubing - having used it I can vouch it is top quality. I also have mayhems clear X1 as my fluid now and I also have opted for coloured tubing. Of you are thinking about adding more in the future - maybe xfire cards or anything like that it may be worth paying a bit more for the res with the D5. Otherwise what you have looks good.

+1 recommendation for Mayhems X1 fluid.

Regarding fans, don't go for the AF series. They are high airflow low static pressure. For radiators you want high static pressure to push the air through. Go for the SP120s or if your not tooooo fused about looks, go for the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1450 or 1850.

Looks arn't important tbh, because it will be out of the case, I'm just looking for the best airflow and low temps.

Dont get AFs because:

Luckily the Corsair 540 already comes with a set of AF140s!

As for radiator fans, grab anything with decent static pressure and half decent air flow. Scythes and SPs have been mentions and are recognized as some of the best for radiators, being able to pass air efficiently through very tick rads or high fpi rads.

Shoulda spotted the fans. Downside to replying on the iPhone. Yeah the sp's are the ones I have. Not as quiet as the scythes GT but on my fan controller they are fine.

The specs are fine (though i wouldn't trust many fan specs, i would trust akaska apache fans).

If you like the ones you already have, then get another set if it stops you from worrying about sound levels when it is all fixed up and finished.

just checked for you (my mrs has that case) there isn't a lot of space from the top of the mobo to the top fan already in place. It would be very difficult
