HELP FIX MY PROBLEM :'(

Hey, started up my laptop today and the screen doesn't boot up it just remains black

I can still move the mouse around but everythings black. Just to let you know I'm playing through a tv as the screen on my laptop is buggered. Thanks in advance.

Cable or display (or inverter if it's not an LED display) since it works on an external one.
