Help!!! Flooding!

Why is the top down on the car in the middle of winter? Hmmm.

Why are their curtains in the garage? Hmmm.

Oh and youre gonna need a bigger mop.

The top was down because I like to let it ventilate, I was polishing it earlier and hate the smell of it. It's technically a converted garage. Was originally an office, then got converted to a pool room... now it's just lying empty and used for the car or whatever.

I'm not one of the posers who drives around in winter with the roof down if that is what you were implying. Summer only :)

So is the water coming from that drain? Deffo call the council. Oh and move that drill and unplug and move the fridge if you haven't already done so.

Out of interest why such a posh garage... tiled floor and patio doors??? Is it actually meant to be a garage and if not then can the floor support the car?

It was originally an office. Concrete under and will support

I suspect the garage door might be a clue ;)

At some point in the rooms life it was clearly not a garage though... the radiator, sliding patio doors, tiled floor, and skirting board give it away. Either it started life as a garage, was converted to a room ,then back to a garage... or it was originally a normal room which someone has slapped a garage door onto.

EDIT: Ah, OP has just explained :)

Good point! Maybe parking the car on that floor caused a pipe underneath to rupture?

Like others have said:
- Kill the power to the room
- Unplug all electrical devices
- Sweep the water outside
- Try and contain the water to that room, block doors etc
- I would call the council or a plumber right away

It's sometimes spelt that way here. It's not an attempt to skip the filters.

I got an infraction before the filters came about for the real word like that. It just means poor up here. No swearing was meant. I would still not use it because of that though :D

All done now. Thank's to those adults who offered sensible advice. Much appreciated.

Will get a plumber first thing in morning
