Help!!! Flooding!

All done now. Thank's to those adults who offered sensible advice. Much appreciated.

Will get a plumber first thing in morning

Before you get the plumber to start you need to decide if you're making an insurance claim or not. Insurance claim means your dad loses excess etc. However home insurance isn't as bad as car insurance for that.

My room flooded due to a froze/blocked pipe caused by both ice and a wedge off the neighbours damaged roof tiles. Not a nice situation to be in, especially during the holidays.

Lmao @ vonhelmet, though. Never has that stupid meme been more appropriate :D

lol at thinking the floor is going to cave in due to 3 inches of water while there is a car on the same floor.

Haha! Chipboard is only suitable for going on top of floorboards to provide a flat surface for tiles. And even then ply is almost always used and far more suitable. It'll almost certainly be ply under those tiles.

I'm just saying I can understand why he'd be a bit scatty and jump to that wrong worry.

For future reference. In the immediate moments when you realise you have a flooding problem, phone the Fire Brigade as it's part of what we do. We will try to isolate the water supply and will remove as much water as we can from your house. Another thing we get no credit for.
