Ive finally decided to give up CoD MW3 and bought Ghosts but it is a little jittery with the image quality on highest but no other effects (I use 1600x900). I want to get a couple more years out of my PC without doing a whole upgrade since the only PC game i play is CoD. So I figured that maybe a new GPU (£100-£200) can bridge that gap.
I was looking at a MSI GTX760. The thing is im worried about compatibility and bottle-necking. e.g my CPU and Mobo (PCIe 2.0). Can someone advise if the GTX760 is overkill , or will something lower like a GTX750 give virtually the same performance given the limitations of the rest of the system. Thanks!
I have:
AMD Phenom™ II X4 965 Black Quad Core Processor AM3 (3.40GHz, 8MB Cache)
Cool IT Domino CPU Advanced Liquid Cooler
950W PSU Artic Pro 950
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO Mainboard - AMD 790X CrossFireX- AM3 Phenom™ II, DDR3 - ATX
8GB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM - ( 4x2GB )
2x 750GB Serial ATA2 Hard Drive with 32MB Buffer (1.5TB Total)
1GB ATI Radeon HD5850 Graphics Accelerator
Thermaltake Element 'S' Gaming Chassis
