Hi people.
Guy at works son has not been able to get his RC Car working since he had it.
Now as I fly RC planes etc I said I would have a look for him as know a bit about tuning engines etc.
Anyhow. Got the model today.
Couple of issues hence my post. Which hopefully someone on here will be able to help with.
All to do with the engine.

Numbered the items in the photo to hopefully help.
Engine in question is a SH 18
As you can see the Son has destroyed the Pull Cord, '1,2 & 3'
So the box with the 'Portable Electric Starter' has a attachment that fits onto the back of the engine to enable you to use said 'Portable Electric Starter' (although battery has been lost, so thought I would just insert starting bar into a cordless drill)?
I attached that (number 5) to the engine back (number 4)
BUT this is the problem---- The Hexagon NUT on the Engine is a bit smaller (12mm) than the Hexagon socket (14mm) on the starting attachment. So therefore NOT engaging. even though, reading the box (as you can see) says it is suitable.
Any ideas for a way forward please. What is best? Just buy a new pull cord assembly?
The Hexagon Nut pulls out of the engine fine, if i was to replace that with a larger one, but i have no knowledge of this procedure.
Apart from that. Should all work.
Thank you if you can help me.
