Help please.

I have two 3D Fuzion 7600gt cards setup in SLI mode, the system has been running fine since i set it up (about 3 weeks), however yesterday i installed the Warhammer Dark Crusade demo and the system has gone to pieces.

First thing that i noticed was lines / blocks on the screen in the demo and then it crashed. This had happend previously with the joint task force demo but was fixed with the reinstallation of directX.

When i reboot the pc behaves normally until i run a game, i have updated the graphics drivers and directX but this has not helped. TOCA3 plays fine then suddenly becomes jerky before stopping. If i am lucky i can get back to windows but the graphics are all messed up until i reboot.

If i dont run any games the system is perfect with no problems.

The system comprises of 3700+, asus A8N premium, 1gb ram, tagan SLI 530w PSU.

GPU 1 temp 1 = 47 centigrade
GPU 2 temp = 51 centigrade

any ideas.

Have you updated your gfxdrivers recently? If so roll back to the old ones and see if the problem is still there. Does it run through 3DM06 without any problems?

If not, then you need to try the cards on thier own as one or both may be failing.

Tried 3DMark 06

crashes with same graphical errors in the "arctic" section.

Looking on net there seems to be a load o problems with 7 series cards .... looks like mine are worthless too

Have you tried each card on its own?

But it does seem like RMA time :(

First time ive heard of a 7600GT going down tho apart from the AGP ones.
