HELP!!! gtx 780

Hi,
I just got my new asus gtx 780 directcu 11 oc, and when putting it my new build it makes a loud grinding noise on start up, have not got past bios as im afraid to damage it. sounds like nails in a blender? any ideas what it could be? cheers Eamonn
 
Check its correctly seated, but more importantly check the fan of the graphics card.


Did a screw drop into anything when you were installing the card?
 
checked no screws in it, took my time getting things together been first build and that. seems to be seated ok the clip moved up. tried just incase I was wrong even moved the small fan on my sabertooth mobo is case that was in the way
 
hi again, tried the card in another one of the slots on my mobo and no noise? tried in the main one again and the noise is back? any ideas
