My Spinpoint hd has failed and there was a slight whirry clicking sounds coming from it. I stuck it in another pc and the bios found it but vista could not see it at all. I dropped it off at a local pc shop and they said there pc could not recognise the drive at all so they could do nothing.
I've called a company called http://www.datatrack-labs.co.uk/ and they gave a quote on the phone of about £195+vat for 14 -21 days turn around then £195+400 for a 7-14 and £195+800 for 72hrs.
Is the above quotes realistic for data retrieval? Has anyone used the above company or could you recommend me one.
