HELP - Hdd Installation

Im getting my velociraptor today but i was thinking whether i could format + install the OS to the hdd in a different computer?

so when i come to sticking it in my build would this work fine and will there be any problems?

You'll end up with all sorts of driver problems if you try and install the OS in a different PC to the one it will eventually end up in. You'd be better off waiting (I assume this is the reason) and installing the OS when the HDD is in it's final home.
