HELP! How do I set back to default?

Hi there,

I have a Nikon D40 and I think I've messed up some of the settings accidently. I'm on auto focus mode and whenever I take shots now they are blurred and the lense does not focus for some reason.

How do I reset back to factory default? Is there a way?

On your lens. it might have a AF or MF switch, make sure its on AF.

Thanks mate. It was on AF I went into the Menu and selected Reset. It seems to work fine now thank goodness, don't know what I did there!

hehe i know what you mean , i only recently got my D60. Just gotta get used to it i suppose

in the d40 u have a switch on the lens and also on the camera's menu itself, this is due to the fact d40's dont have the auto focus motor in the actual camera.
