HELP how do you rerpair a bios?

I think the chip is soldered onto the P5K, so any repair would mean you sending him the whole motherboard.

It says on that site..
If you want to send the board only please contact me before you strip your machine. If you do not agree with these conditions then please do not make use of the service.

So you'd better contact him.

Have you tried clearing CMOS etc?

The P5K is as nice to use as they come when it comes to clearing the CMOS (use one myself). Pulling the power cable, switching the cmos jumper and leaving it for 5-10 secs clears it, as well as popping the battery whilst having the power cable unplugged. Some people also suggest leaving it over night in flash mode to make sure that all power is drained from the board.

Asus have a Bios Recovery on the CD that comes with Mobo, you can also run it from USB but obv if PC is nuked you wont be able to use that PC to make the USB up. :)

QUOTED :

" CrashFree BIOS 2

The CrashFree BIOS 2 feature now includes the BIOS auto-recovery function in a support CD. Users can reboot their system through the support CD when a bootable disk is not available, and go through the simple BIOS auto-recovery process. ASUS motherboards now enable users to enjoy this protection feature without the need to pay for an optional ROM "
