Hi all,

I went out to my underused car the other night to find the handbrake was binding so hard it just dragged the rear wheels when I tried to move. I've taken the wheel off one side and a bit of tapping wiggling has released the brake from the drum so the wheel will turn freely if I put it back on but the drum is stuck on.

How do I get it off? It should just come straight off shouldn't it? It all looks abit rusty in there but any tips would be great.

Cheers, Lefty

lordrobs that's worked for me in the past but not this time. The wheels slipped along the ground when I did that last night.

Anyway - I've released both wheels now by taking the wheels off and fiddling around. But I want to remove the drum itself now except it appears to be jammed in place, any suggestions? I am right in thinking it shouldn't be connected to anything, that it just sits between the wheel and the backplate?

Cheers
