Hi,
I have a 2900xt that I think has issues because it keeps crashing out of games and generally doesnt give the performance which it should.

Checking in CCC states that the clocks are:
Core Clock in MHz 507 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 514 MHz

Now I was under the impression that it should be much higher than this, or is it a 'standby' setting?

Setup:
Vista64
2Gb Ram
600W PSU
8.1 drivers

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
 
Ive not had an ati card for a while but if i remember rightly it shows the 2D clocks in windows and the 3D clocks kick in when you run any 3D application
 
Yep. That's the 2d clocks. When a 3d application runs in full screen, it uses the 3d clocks.

Crashing issues can be absolutely anything.

Bad Drivers
Bad Windows Install
Conflicting software somewhere

Try removing drivers and re-installing.
