Ok, so I got my new Gigabyte ds3r and have installed it, but my mouse (Logitech MX1000) no longer seems to be working - can't tell you what a nightmare it is using the internet without one.

This is running Windows Vista 64 bit. All was well with the specs below, which are all exactly the same except for the mobo.

I have tried it in both the ps2 and usb ports. I have removed all drivers, and manually removed mouse from device manager. It detects the mouse fine, but there is simply no movement.

Have tried with usb mouse support both enabled and disbaled in bios. All bios settings are pretty much at default with exception of disbaling lan and sound.

All other devices seem to be working fine.

Was going to re-install windows thinking maybe was driver conflict, but when the installer loaded up there was no ouse movement - so not a driver issue.

Don't know what else to do.....

Will give that a go tomorrow, however, I have tried a different mouse on this computer with similar results - i say similar because the wired mouse does allow me to move the cursor around the screen, however none of th ebuttons are working correctly. Left click works like right-click, sroll down works like left lick.

So I am sure it is not the mouse, but i struggle to see how a motherboard could have problems with a mouse both on usb and ps2 connections.

Update: jsut plugged mouse into usb connections on front of pc and is working properly now....

plugged the wireless into front ports, did not work. plugged wired back into front ports and works.

this is going to drive me nuts
