Hi,
So I've got to do some benchmarking for my dissertation and Windows 8 is one of the operating systems I'm going to use. I've got a spare drive I want to install it on but it's being a right bugger to install. I don't have any discs to put Windows 8 on so I've been using DAEMON tools to mount the image and install through Windows 7. I just want to stick it on my spare hard drive but the option hasn't come up thus far and now it's starting to install without me being able to select which disk I want it on.

Am I missing something because every other OS I've installed in the past including OSX or Linux has at least let me select a drive Windows 8 just seems to get on with it.

don't run setup.exe from the root. i think there's one in the sources folder and that will let you choose a drive like older versions.

Don't know why anyone would want windows 8. It's like they ripped out half of windows 7 then glued it together with xbox live. Only you can't play Halo 4.

I fail to see how the hell it will work in a corporate environment.

It does have an old installer in sources thanks for the help. :D

I can't believe they wouldn't have these options in the main installer.
