Help Internet connection keeps dropping

As title says my internet connection keeps dropping for some reason.I think it has something to do with my netgear router because if I plug the ethernet cable straight in my virgin router it's fine but when it's in my net gear router the connection drops every 30 minutes or so and the comes back on after about 5 mins. Anyone know why this might be happening ?

So you've turned off DHCP on one of those routers, right?

no should i turn it of on my netgear router?

You should have it on only one router. Just pick one. I have 3 routers and use 2 as access points and they have DHCP off and it all works just fine.
