Help, is my graphics card faulty?

Hi all,

Sapphire 7850 Graphics Card, everything stock without any OC

Standard run of the mill model. When running the heaven 3 benchmark, I get weird black lines appearing on the screen on the second dragon scene.

Does anyone else get this? Not sure if the card needs to be RMA'd or for some weird reason heaven does this (driver glitch etc)

Try another benchmark program,

what are your load temps?

Reseat your card in the pci slot, and your power cables and VGA/HDMI cable. Sounds like a connection problem to me.

ok guys thanks, just needed to be sure about the dragon scene as I have been testing something special

I have noticed these, it looks like its the dragons wings as the camera pans around.

Yes, try doing this method this happens to my old card so I took it out and put it back in after 2-5 minutes

Yes, I'm thinking it's something to do with the benchmark software

There was a known bug in an older version which did this with an old Catalyst 11. driver which they fixed. IIRC, it's only the dragon scene which does it and therefore could make people think there OC wasn't stable.

I know people who just leave the benchmark running and leave the room. That to me isn't a good way of telling if the OC is stable or not. I know there is error checking on the card but it doesn't really do much when you start really upping the clocks.

Oh, and it's not a connection issue btw
