Hey guys, hoping you can help.
I just booted up my old external WD10EADS a few days ago and it kept connecting and disconnecting, the case wasn't in great shape thanks to usb leads being yanked out of it all the time so I connected it up to my Motherboards SATA port for a few days and it worked just fine.
Unfortunately, a few more days have passed and it doesn't appear in either Explorer or my BIOS. It seems to spin up fine, but the head stops moving after a certain point on the platter. I took it apart this evening to see what was happening inside.
I'm not too sure about the platters condition, but no idea how it could have gotten so bad so quickly as it was working not so long ago? Any ideas? Here's the video (scuse the mess!)
