Hey Guys,

Ok, me and the misses are looking for a new car... need a bit of help though deciding what to do with.

Must have/be the following:

Hatch back (we have a rotty)
2.0ltr Diesel
Have a Sat Nav option (dont ask, she doesnt like Tom Tom devices)
EDIT: Cant be French!

Thats about it really... the lower the tax the better :D

London and back, going to be used a lot... Budget, we are not bothered, its going to have to last so we dont mind spending a bit :)

second hand me thinks...

were going to order a new focus, get a discount as my brother inlaw works for Ford... longs story short we have been waiting 4 months for it!!!

So you've ordered a Focus & its taken 4 months and still not arrived? - or has he ordered it?

I'm surprised you have had to wait so long for something so relatively common!
 
tell me about it we ordered it and get a code thing that we had to give them, 2.0ltr Focus... we are so annoyed about it, we nearly sold the car we have now untill we went in to check on the progress and she told us that it had been delay she didnt even inform us!

The way you've been treated? You mean not informed of a delay, even though you're getting it massively cheaper?

For the lovely people of motors to actually really help you, there needs to be more information. Age? Cost? Mileage? etc

Well just called Fords now, it has been delayed untill November, Seems like there was an earth quake in Japan...

We were looking at an audi A3 low mileage I think...under 15k... age 2 year or under...

Audi A3 would be a good bet.

There are so many options open to you though Stelly, just don't rush into anything. Go and test drive everything you can really!

Essentially your choices are the following:

GOLF TDi
BMW 1 series
Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0l D
Honda Civic 2.2 ctdi
Mazda 6
Ford Mondeo
Audi A3
Ford Focus
Leon

Outside bets:
Avensis
Insignia
Laguna

Go drive a bunch and pick the one which you like best! Don't think I have missed too many from above :)
 
Ok cheers guys,

We have booked in for a test drive of a nice looking Audi A3 Sportsback 2.0 TDI S Line (pre reg) on Saturday.... looking forward to that.

Before that we are going to visit a VW garage and see what is on offer, but we need a big boot I have been told that the Golf doesnt have a big boot.
