friend put all his files in onedrive which we assumed was a good enough backup

we wiped his pc , then reinstalled windows 10 and one drive

now lots of his files are missing, looks like onedrive did not back up to the cloud properly for about the last month or so

after formating and reinstalling windows fresh, is there any way to recover the files
 
don't use the HDD as everything done like loading windows and installing programs will reduce the chance of recovering files.

I have used this bit of software a number of times to recover data for work and home

to use the above software the HDD will need to be connected to a PC or laptop as a slave drive as you cant store recovered data on the same HDD
