Get a new monitor mate! Gaming at at least 1080p will be a massive upgrade and show you what pc gaming is all about. YOu will be barely using your card at the moment.
Good driving games -
Dirt 1, Dirt 2, Dirt 3 they are all good dirt 1's graphics still hold up well and it would be many peoples favourite so dont jump straight to dirt 3.
Need for speed hot pursuit.
Burnout Paradise
Shift 2 unleashed
You may have played some of these on a console?
What other kind of games do you like - have you been gaming a lot on consoles?
Mafia 2 is a fun game
Mass effect 1 & 2 are excellent games (though suspect you may have played them)
The witcher 2 is a great game and a PC exclusive
What are your thoughts on strategy games?
If you like them try:
Dawn of War series
Civ V
Total War - Shogun II, Napoleon, Medieval II
Oh- dont rush out and buy everything all at once. YOu get a lot of sales in pc gaming. e.g Steam has a weekly sales midweek and on the weekend. IF you are patient you will be able to amass a great collection on the cheap. Keep an eye on the deals thread in this forum and check out savvygamer website.

I say go for PC exclusive titles firstly, although they're some decent console ports as well on the PC.
As an example [going from what i've played]:
-BF:BC2.
-Mass Effect 1&2.
-KOTOR: 1.
-BF:3 [played the Alpha, i enjoyed it].
-Half-Life 2.
-Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.
-Battlefield:2.
-Dead Space 1&2.
-Resident Evil 5.
