Right, im stuffed!

I put the keys in the boot of the Prelude, as i was getting my sandwiches out one of the lads came over and shut it.

Boot locks automatically and can only be opened from the lock or a lever next to the drivers seat. However, the car is locked.

I dont want to break a window, anyone know if you can lever the rear quarter out?

PS: none or very little tools to hand as im at work and im here until 6am, or longer if i cant get my keys :D

Honda door mechanisms are rubbish, find someone with an AA/RAC membership and call them out they'll get the door open in seconds using their assortment of plastic coat hanger type things ;)

breaking a window is an option but until i know how much it will cost to repair, not one i want to travel down.

As for spare keys, i have two, attached to the main one that is in my boot! :)

Call a locksmith. I did something similar when I had my Passat as it automatically locks itself if the keys aren't turned in the ignition. The locksmit put a wedge between the door and B pillar and created a gap in the seals large enough to fit a hooked rod into. He grabbed the keys with it and pushed the button on them using the rod.

10 mins and £40.

Cheaper and more convenient than breaking a window. They did a guarantee too, if they didn't get in they wouldn't charge anything.

Dont smash the window. Use a rubber door wedger or stopper to pry open the window and use a hanger (alluminiu one) to get it opened. Very easy to do. :)

Give us a pic of your car door, anything a loop of plastic could grab onto might work easily enough. The kind of stuff you find in parcel packaging would do it.

Sometimes if you lever the door handle all the way up, a gap is caused underneath big enough for you to gain access to the door internals.

A long file of metal inserted down between the plastic and the glass window would do the same maybe

Hi, glad I found this thread, full of useful advise. I parked outside my mates house and silly me locked my keys in my Ferarri. Anyone know how to get into this too?

On a serious note, I did this 2nd day of having my BMW, BM rescue were able to open the boot using airbags at the back of the boot, and playing with a few wires ;)

I've done this a couple of times and this is good advice. All of the breakdown people will be able to do it quickly and easily for you. I was shocked at the speed with which they did it actually. A small plastic inflatable bag thing was wedged in the door frame, blown up in a few seconds to prise the door open and then a hook/rod did the rest. A lot memberships cover the person and not the car these days so g0th's idea will work a treat and cost you nothing.

remote central locking?

call someone that can get your spare remote & get them to push the remote next to their phone, put your mobile next to your lock - worked on mythbusters :D

I did the same with my Mondeo once, easiest way round for me was to smash one of the rear lights out completely, and reach in from the resulting hole and retrieve keys. Broken rear light > broken window.
