Hi all this is my first post sorry if it's in the wrong section but am thinking of build a gaming pc. I have never build one before and my budget is round the 800-900 pound mark. The pc itself will be used for gaming only, games like arma 3 and battlefield 4 but want to run them on max setting. My shopping list so far
Gigabyte GTX 970 Graphics Card - £294.99
EVGA SuperNOVA 750W PC Power Supply - Gold- £87.99
HyperX FURY Series 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL10 DIMM Memory - £62.68
Mod 1150 ASUS Z97 MAXIMUS VII RANGER Motherboard - £143.40
Intel Core i5 i5-4690K CPU (Quad Core 3.5GHz Processor - £167.50
NZXT H440 Mid Tower Case - £98.89
1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 3.5-inch SATA III - £45

Total £900.35
Just wondering if this is the best set up for my budget or if you would change some parts for better/cheaper ones. Thanks

Still £22.50 cashback, PSU suitably beefed up as R9 290 use more power than GTX970.

A single R9 290 or GTX970 will run of a good 550W PSU.

Thanks for help just wondering if the asus maximums ranger is a better motherboard to go with or are the ones you have choosen just as good I.g. Performance wise?

Just as good, do SLI+Crossfire at 8X/8X so dual cards are not a problem (the PSUs in each spec are powerful enough for two of each card in kind)

Perhaps the Ranger will overclock higher, but the Gigabyte will overclock to.
