Help me build a gaming system <£600

Now I know this might be too much to ask but I'd like to build a gaming system for less than £600 that will be able to run FFXIV when it comes out during September.

Is it worth trying?

I can't OC so I'll need an OC'd bundle
It will only be used with this game
I only have windows XP

Any help is much appreciated!

a 1gb GTX460 will last for a few years.

could shave a few more £ off buy getting a lesser cpu, but not sure if its worth the compromise.

If you needed to stick closer to your £600 I would keep the CPU and go for a lesser GPU, like a 5770.

Get a 5770 now which is roughly £50 cheaper and should handle that depnding on your resolution. You can then crossfire the 5770's in future then as and when funds available.

but then the psu wont be enough for dual 5770, so will need a bigger wattage one, preferably with two 6pin pci-e

I haven't been following all these new CPUs while I've been at Uni for the last three years. I'm a little out of touch.

There are a growing number of games which make good use of more than 2 cores on the CPU, so if you want to play the new releases it's a good idea to get a quad core.
