Hello. So I am going to be moving my Dell Optiplex 745 into the livingroom of my new house to use as a media PC. I will be connecting it to my 42" HDTV.

Basically Im looking for a good Low Profile GPU that will cope with HD Movies and maybe some games when my neices and nephews come to visit.

I would also like to stick 2gb of DDR2 667 or 800mhz ram

I currently have a E2180 CPU so I think that should be enough

The PC only has a 275w PSU so bear that in mind when suggesting a GPU

Also what are your thoughts on this

Thanks

I've suggested that keyboard to a few people. Nice touch that it works with consoles too :) Depending on your phone there are apps for iOS and android to use your smartphone as a mouse or keyboard ;)

The 6450 is your best bet for a GPU really. I wouldn't buy DDR2 RAM it's probably going to be more expensive than DDR3 and you can't reuse it in newer kit. Adding a small SSD (even sataII) if you can later would make a big difference. Have you any spare memorycards to use readyboost?

EDIT

P.S Hey beej! Great minds think alike ;)

will you please let me know how you get on with the Xebec, i have one and it works fine on the laptop, but on the pc it simply doesnt work :-/...

sandybridge pentium dual core, 4gb ddr3 1333mhz, ati radeon HD 5450 (or something like that), some storage drives, samsung BD123 blu ray drive and youre set.
