Evening guys and gals,I'm looking at ordering a fixed loop water cooling system, and have it down to 2.Either the Intel thermal solution,or the Zalman cnps20.Can anybody out there point me toward which one to go for.It is only going to be in for a few months maybe 4 max, until I can save enough for all the components, for a nice sexy loop.It will be going into my Lian Li pc7fn and onto an intel I5 3770 cpu.Thank you for reading.

Wouldn't it be worth just using an after market air cooler to save you money rather than spending money on a £70+ watercooler which your going to be removing soon enough, where as you could have a cheaper air cooler for the time being?

Will you be gaming a lot or running hot on your CPU?

isn't a 3770 an I7 not and I5?

Yes mate you are right I got it wrong it is an i5 3570 my bad.
Ive already got an after market heat sink a Prolima samuel 17 low profile with a 120mm lepa fan(helicopter one) my temps are pretty good, but could be better.I'm drawing up plans for a mini ITX build so as and when I buy a full loop system, the fixed loop cooler can go into that any way,so it won't go to waste.
Back to my question any feed back out there please guys.

Grab the B-grade D14 before someone else does. It beats the Samuel and is almost certainly better performing and definitely quieter than either of the coolers you're looking at.
Not worth spending £75 on a stop gap measure if you're going for a full loop in the near future. Or are you planning to run a loop for the GPU and use the clc for the CPU?

You'll need this if you go for the D14.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Noctua Mounting Kit NM-I3 - Socket 775/1156/1366 £5.99
Total : £5.99 (includes shipping : FREE).

Nice cooler but,I'm sorry to say it wont fit my cooler is 120mm x 120mm and between that and the ram, there is only about a 3mm gap,and the noctua is 140 x160,from what I can remember. My mobo is an Asus p8z77-lx and is quite small(soon to be changed also)That is why I opted for a low profile cooler to begin with. It's a dam shame as I've only ever heard good things about Noctua, shame about the colour though,I've got a bad case of ocd,and the color would wind me up no end,the ally inside my case is doing that now,Black mat spray paint on order for that(Lian Li pc7fn)Cheers for the input though.

Yeah the colour is erm, 'different' shall we say.
Btw, your case has 160mm clearance which is the same height as the cooler. Tight, but doable unless you have silly tall ram :)

All I will say is that the Intel liquid cooler is relatively crap. Looks pretty...
