I'm going for an enthuisiastic setup, I'm looking for top of the current range (Poor choice I know)

I'm considering:

Gtx 590
Radeon HD 6990
Radeon HD 6870x2(PowerColor) + Radeon HD 6870 Trifire/possibly quadfire

Any opinions/things I should know about these cards?

I want to run 3 21.5" monitors (Not eyefinity, so the lack of ram on the 6870s should be ok)

So far I'm leaning towards the trifire, as I am really not impressed with the quality of the two "flagships"

So help me decide, or suggest alternatives.

Personally I wouldn't suggest going for one of the current-gen dual-GPU cards like the ones you mention.

They are all very hot and loud.

Instead I would suggest a pair of HD 6950 2GB cards like this running in Crossfire.

The problem with 2 6950's is I am very very scared of micro-stutter. I hear this problem is alleviated with x3+, And I was contemplating 6950x3, but that's quite MoBo intensive.

Ontop of this because I want to run 3 monitors, I want to stay away from Nvidia SLI, because I feel they lack the memory
