As per the title please help me choose a mechanical keyboard as I can't make my mind up

I've tried out the Corsair K70 RGB and I did like it but the issue with the full rgb palette not currently available is putting me off as I feel you're paying extra for this.

The others keyboards I'm looking at are the Ducky Shine Fire edition and Das 4.
The problem with the Ducky Shine is the different type of switches on it as I've only really played about with the Red and Brown switches so if anyone who has one can comment on them that would be great.

The Das 4 looks pretty well built but I would prefer at least some sort of colour on the keyboard so still up in the air about it.

Anyway any advice or comments are welcome!

Have you considered the Steelseries M800 at all?

I was in the same boat as you and ended up pre ordering that.

Actually yes but I didn't know anyone with the same keyboard that could provide me a decent review of it.

How do you find it?

Had a look at the review and it seems good but I'm now leaning towards the Ducky Shine 4 Fire version.

Has anyone got this yet and how do you find it?

I have the same dilema. My Steelseries 7G has seen better days (USB not working & a key has become sticky) so I'm torn between the Steelseries M800 and the Corsair K70 RGB.
Corsair may have too much lighting and be too bright for gaming in a darkened room but I'm not convinced about the build quality of the Steelseries (plus I've been let down by my Steelseries keyboard & two headsets!)
Steelseries however has built in USBs
Corsair needs two USB sockets free on PC and doesn't have the attraction of USB plugs on the back.
Corsair build quality seems better with the aluminium body....
Decisions, decisions.

I ended up just going for the normal Ducky Shine 4 not the fire version due to me wanting cherry browns.
I've not looked back since getting they keyboard, it's well built, there's no additional software to bloat my system up and it looks amazing.
The Corsair just has way too many problems for me and the fact they're aware they can't provide what they advertise just stinks and clearly shows that they chose to release the board so it won't hurt profit margins as much as not having the board out for sale at all.

Yeah, I was looking at their forums this morning and they do seem to have released their RGB keyboards before their software was up to the job.....Stlii have a hankering for the K70 though. Looks lovely, question is if it would work with my mobo, the software would work, keys cause locking up etc :D

daskeyboard 4

I want my keyboard to keyboard, not to light up
I thought that till I realised that I can't see the Q key to issue orders in BF4 or I can't see which is F2 or F3 to swap sides on the boat (in a darkened room).
I can do without the expense of a keyboard that is lit up but the RGB ones are attractive 'cos I would be able to programme certain keys to be lit in certain games which would make for a better gaming experience. Not to mention being able to have the entire keyboard backlit for when I'm typing on forums in the dark.
"First world" problems, I know, but I like to make whatever environment I'm in as comfortable and attractive as possible :D

edit......40k posts? Holy** Not fully starred out swearing, Batman ** :D
