Many thanks.

For me the AMD option looks a winner with much better graphics capability to the intels marginal cpu lead. That said, if you were later able to add a discrete gpu that would change things.

Also don't forget to budget for the operating system!

Also that prebuilt systrm has on board graphics which isnt enough for cs 1.6, you want 100+ fps with cs 1.6.

I know this because i played it for 7 years and is a pro if i may say so :D

Is recommend going 2nd hand you will get more bang for you buck.

My system in my Sig cost me no more than 250.

Even if you get one of the systems above and get a gpu aswell for around 50-70 quid you'll be fine.

Them systems that they have recommended are fine is just you would need a dedi gpu.

if you can afford the extra 60 quid or so, this would do for what you need, you can allways save money after and upgrade it bit by bit.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 6670 2048MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Graphics Card £64.99
1 x AMD A6-5400K Black Edition 3.60GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Dual Core Processor (AD540KOKHJBOX) £47.99
1 x MSI A55M-E33 AMD A55 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £40.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) HDD £39.95
1 x Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit (TW3X4G1333C9A) £32.99
1 x Imp MicroATX Tower Case (500w PSU) £31.99
Total : £270.90 (includes shipping : £10.00).

cs 1.6 is more about ram and gpu when playing online, it dosnt use much cpu so its the ram and gpu you want to focus on if you want smooth playing.

back when i used to play it, i had a old pentium 4 3.0ghz, with 2gb ram, and a 256mb gpu, 35 fps lowest and 55 highest lol.

try playing with that ;)

Good afternoon

AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor £69.98
Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU Cooler £14.99
ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 ATX FM2 Motherboard £60.42
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory £24.13
Corsair Builder 430W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply £34.64
