Help me choose which PC

i would remove the link before a mod does, your not aloud to post other companie links like that ^^

as for the list, you have missed, case, hdd and i wouldnt bother with the aftermarket cooler, you wont be stressing the processor playing cs 1.6 so heat wont be a problem unless you live somwhere like the desert.

why dont you go for the one above ?

I'm going to use my old case and HDD. I'm still a rookie and been going round and round on the internet researching whether I need an extra graphic card if there's an integrated one already.

So I do not need a cooler? Is it already built it? Does that apply with the sound card, wired network adapter too?

If I have a case, HDD, monitor, mouse, keyboard plus all the above, do I require anything else?

Thanks.

You will get a cooler with the cpu.
You wont need a s.card because the mobo has onboard sound
And the mobo also has wired network built in.

Everything you need is.

Cpu
Mobo
Hdd (you have)
Case (you have)
Graphics card
Optical drive
Ram
Power supply
Keyboard (you have?)
Mouse (you have?)
Monitor (you have?)
Speakers or headset (you have?)

Go to oc main site and find components thay suit you. Do research on diffrent components to find which is best for you and to your budget.
Once you have check everything of the list and you are happy. Go for it.

Ok, what do you guys think of this?

AMD A8-6600K 3.9GHz Quad-Core Processor £82.79
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler £23.62
ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 ATX FM2 Motherboard £60.42
PNY XLR8 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory £38.06
Corsair Builder 430W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply £34.64

So I have got my case, monitor, speakers, mouse, keyboard, hard drive and dvd drive.

Noting the above, I do not require graphic card (already integrated), sound and wired network card (already built it). Do I require any additional fans or coolers? Any changes recommended to make price cheaper?

Regards.

make sure the ram will work with the mobo.
i also said you will need a graphics card to get decent FPS on cs 1,6 when playing online. the on-board wont cut it.
you dont need the cpu cooler.. you will get one with the CPu when you buy it.

if you want to add some case fans (providing your case can take them) then that's up to you, if you think you need more cooling in the case, then go ahead, but if you live in a cool place, i don't think you will, as playing cs 1.6 only wont generate much heat.

Yeah, the RAM and the rest is compatible as I used a website as we all know to build parts.

CS 1.6 has been around for 10 years I think and my last computer ran CS ok which was 6 years old. How crap is that integrated graphic card I'm suggesting?

Your old comp may have played it ok but from my 7 years experiance i would get a half decent card
I have tried cs 1.6 with on board graphics, they are not powerfull enough.

yes you could do that yea. but you wont be able to play very good as you will have low FPS... but its upto you.

you asked for our advice and seem to do the opposite.

I appreciate the advice and I haven't done anything as a matter of fact. I'm not a serious gamer, I only play Zombie Mods on 1.6

Regards
