Asus p5q board what i been reading, a lot of people having trouble having more then 4gb ram, want to know would my geil ram work
i have these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-058-GL&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=813 but in the 1gb stick.
Got a friend who got the asus p5q e, board is amazing but he couldnt get 4gb ram to work.

No i wont be using the crossfire (i'm Nvidia fanboy), my current board has crossfire. My current board has 3 sata port, i need more sata ports.

In my experiences the p5q mobo would be the better overclocker. Intel chipset is nearlly always better the nvidia. If you want SLI you will have to sacrafice some overclocking performance. The best SLI/nvidia chipset board for overclocking i would say would be a eVGA 750i/780i *** mobo. At the end of the day is overclocking more important than SLI!
Hope this helps!

don't get the striker 2 or any nforce SLI chipset for intel (i7 onces are made by intel so nothing to worry about)

they are not hte most loved chipset, as above said ONLY get it if you want SLI but don't expect good overclocks with it, and loads of problems, unless you manage to get a F.T.W

Thxs, look like i be ordering Asus P5Q Deluxe, Can anyone comfirm my ram will work with this board with out any problems?
