Help me find 50 strikers in the world better than Beattie :D

those stats show that he is not a great player. If he reproduces again next season then that will change, and so will his club :D

This is my point.

Time and again I've said one season does not a striker make.

Obviously some trolls like to get carried away.

Yeah and some people think reeling off names from Championship manager, correlates to the real world. No offence but how many of those listed does anyone here watch on a regular basis?

My point was to show how people are getting carried away with Beattie's ability or lack thereof.

There's plenty of strikers around that are class on their day.

And like I said, I didn't get them off Champ Man.

Look at his goalscoring tally's for previous seasons.

Whether in a struggling side or not, thats not good enough to be called class. If he can do it next season and the season after, then he can be categorised above the flash in the pan status.

why the hell u calling me a troll?

let me just quote a magical scoreline:

Cardiff City 2 - Leeds United 1

and we battered u all after the match

[cut]Song that should be worthy of a ban[cut]

You wonder why I call you a troll? Because you're trolling this thread, you're immature and you're having a go at members. Unfortunately you're not very good at it.

So you scrape past a stronger team and your animals that outnumber a set of fans attack the people they outnumber.

Something to be very proud of I'm sure.

many Cardiff fans wonder why their club has such a bad rep

Alan Smith
This year: 2 goals in 32 league appearances
Last year: 4 goals in 23 league appearances
Year before that: 11 goals in 33 league appearances

This seasons tally for Beattie is more than Smith's career total.

Robbie Fowler
This year: 4 goals in 19 league appearances
Last year: 15 goals in 32 league appearances
Year before that: 8 goals in 27 league appearances

Wayne Rooney
This year: 6 goals in 31 league appearances

Kevin Phillips
This year: 6 goals in 30 league appearances
Last year: 11 goals in 37 league appearances
Year before that: 14 goals in 34 league appearances

how can he say that smith is better than beattie, maybe hes wearing his leeds glasses. the guy is one of the dirtiest players out there along with danny mills (and look how they both play for leeds) and he got sent off against cardiff for elbowing

2 goals in 32 apps is nothing to be proud of

also just red he got 51 yellow cards and 7 red in 190 apps, that is appauling

also- In a 14 game spell in 2001/02, he picked up six yellow cards and two red cards.

James Beattie
This year: 22 goals in 34 league appearances
Last year: 12 goals in 28 league appearances
Year before that: 11 goals in 37 league appearances

So his record is far better than Smith, Fowler and Phillips'

Jermain Defoe
This year: 8 goals in 36 league appearances
Last year: 10 goals in 35 league appearances

Michael Owen
This year: 15 goals in 32 league appearances
Last year: 19 goals in 29 league appearances
Year before that: 16 goals in 28 league appearances

So it would seem that Beattie ain't nowhere near the top 50
in the world, probably not even the top 100, if anyone knew
anything about the south american leagues, which I've not
a clue about to be honest.

As Gilly's said, Beatties big season is next season.
Should he do similar next season I'm sure one of the bigger
clubs, not disrespect to Southampton, will snap him up.
