hey all

I am looking for a plug with a switched socket on the back

like this :

http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homeba...-individually-switched-adaptor---white-486681

but not 3 way, just 1 on the back

i've seen travel adaptors do this, but i just want the "1" "UK" socket

and i have seen the ones with a "timer" which look exactly what im after but a switch instead of a timer

seems impossible to find one :(

any help much appreciated

ok, ill try and explain the situation

Wall socket is at the wrong end of the room, have an extension lead going to the other side behind some units i now have very limited space (bedroom) so i have attached the socket from the extension lead to the side of the unit, next to it i have a Tower extention plugged into it which powers my TV, DVD player, games consoles etc etc, and i want to convert 1 of those sockets to a switched socket so i can power off a console

maybe, but i dont want more wires, as i said limited space, hence why im looking for a plug socket

It wouldn't be any more wires though - just gets fitted to the console's power cable?

I'd question why a console needs hard powering off anyway, modern consoles are fine in standby, and older consoles tend to have a physical power button on them?

but some like my Xbox 360 has a light on the PSU brick thats always on at night

Why not just use one like your in your link ? A one way would be the same size anyway.
