help me fix my girlfriends internet

right now I'm lost and now really really confused. now as you might of guessed the internet is working fine for me, so its not the ASDL line.

I hace tried all the usual suspects.

turning on and off lots of times
system restore
empted cookeys, cash and history

then I tyed some other stuff,

I loged into the rooter with her laptop?!? so the wireless is defiantly working and not faulty. am not locking down MAC addresses i even put her laptop in the DMZ with no success.

I have also turned off her viruses softwhere with no success.

I cant ping bbc.co.uk or trace it, but I can ping and trace an external IP address.

I'm really lost for what to do next



all i get when opening IE is "the page cannot be displayed"

can anybody help, i have a bear in the fridge for anybody who can solve it for me.

Get ya isp's DNS servers and see if you can telnet to them on port 53 - if so assign them to your LAN card

Has it only recently happened??? Sometimes I have this when I install something and despite looking everywhere can never get to the bottom of it...

Solution; restore back to when it worked!!

And I am afraid of bears! Could I have something else?

she hasn't installed anything, and i have restored about about 2 month already, so don't think its that.

Come again?? isnt DNS is fine, as im ok on the same network?

Is the pc your having problems with on wireless? or wired? wireless can sometimes struggle with DNS

Can you ping both url's and IP's?

DNS server on mine is: 192.168.0.1
on her laptop: 195.92.195.94

?? why that not coming up on mine??
