So I currently have the White Be Quiet! Darkbase 900 pro, housing an x79 system with a gtx 970 and to be honest I'm pretty underwhelmed by the temps I've been getting as per my other thread.

(I'm currently getting between 61 and 75c at full load at stock after 2hrs of prime 95)

At the moment I've got two 140mm Silent wings 3 fans intaking air at the front, another exhausting in the rear and 2 140mm high speed pwm silent wings 3 fans on my 280mm aio mounted up top sucking hot air out of the case. Which to be fair is pretty restricted.

The pump is connected to the fan header currently and I think set at 100% though I'm not sure with my bios. The fans are all connected to the cases fan hub which is as high as it can go but I'm not sure if this is hindering things as its a plastic slider.

There are fan mounts on the bottom of the case which I could add two additional fans and a 3rd in the front but this one would have no dust filter.

Can someone with far more experience please help me configure things more effectively or offer suggestions on what I could do differently.

whats your CPU ? CPU speed/ voltage overclock ?
what AIO is the unit ? can see Alphacool Eisbaer 25mm slim 360 aio beats £50+ more expensive asetek models with thicker rads and higher FPI etc etc

to me that sounds cool as a cucumber since im running an i7 8700 at 5.1ghz with a 360 rad and 3 2200rpm silent wings - 88c Prime95 on and even more restrictive evolv case :D

if your after lowest CPU temps, mount AIO to front , one 140 on the bottom and 2 fans for exhaust and system having Positive pressure drawing in air- also less dust

thermal Grizzly paste! if your not using it on CPU/GPU- should drop GPU 5c straight away and bring down that CPU to 70/72c with a quick guess

@orbitalwalsh

I've got a 3930k on an asus x79 sabertooth motherboard at stock (I can't seem to get the hang of overclocking), currently using a be quiet! Silent Loop Superior Liquid CPU Cooler - 280mm that I replaced the stock fans with two high speed silent wing 3's And I'm also using Thermal Grizzly on the cpu, never thought to apply it on my 970 though.

Can I mount that aio in the front of my case?

How can I ensure it's running at 100%? I've currently got the pump connected to the cpu fan header

Ive always connected these units to Non CPU headers, and set them to 100% then connect the fans only to the CPU_header Pins

Hwmonitor can also list fan (headers) and rpm they are running at .
Pump will read 2600rpm if I can recall

In HWmonitor the fans I can see under value are

CPUFANIN 2224 rpm

GPU 1028 rpm

Fans PWM 30%

And that's it. I'm assuming I must have configured them wrong
