Hi,
I've never really been an audiophile. I've been quite contented for a few years with my onboard sound, logitech z4 2.1's and creative fatality headset. To be honest with you this all still sounds perfectly acceptable to me but I am aware that sometimes you don't know what you're missing out on until you experience it, so as I'm currently upgrading my graphics card I think maybe my experience in games could be improved by investing a little in audio as well.
I'd like to split it over 2 months as I have other costs to consider this month as well.
Month 1 Headset and Sound Card
The reasoning behind this is my pc is in my bedroom, I use it mainly for games and films (when not working) and there are people sleeping (and snoring) nearby so I will be using the headset a lot.
I think Corsair HS1? Seems a good upgrade for a very decent price but USB or not USB?
Then a soundcard, I have no idea about these but can something decent be had in the £30-£40 range even if I need to look out for it second hand?
Month 2 Speakers
Preferably 2.0 or 2.1 anything that's going to be a noticeable upgrade in the £60-£100 range?
Many Thanks
Dan
