Shouldn't the over temp throttling kick in way before it ever reaches 85degrees?
thanks for your input. What is funny is that the first time I put on the heatsink the footprint on the bottom looked like it was making full contact with the cpu. Its has been on and off a couple of times now and the grease mark on the bottom has looked like it hasnt been making full contact..only partial. Is there a safe way to lap the top of a CPU? I have done heatsinks before..but never the actual CPU itself...any advice?I'd say that if you want low temps and good overclocks you need to be lapping..
but every time I think about it a little "meh" pops up in my head and I settle back down to game![]()
