You: "If you were caught stealing something from work, would you be honest and admit to theft or would you blame a disabled co-worker if you were certain your employers would believe you..."

Interviewee: "But I wouldn't steal..."

You: "It's a hypothetical question..."

Interviewee: "But..."

You: "Please answer the question..."

Perfect.

Remember it's a two way thing, make the interview too obtrusive and they may decide not to work for you.

I had an interview with a company and the two "top dogs" were such obnoxious tools that I declined a second interview in writing. They phoned asking me to re-consider and why I didn't want to go for a second interview so I was honest and the receptionist laughed and said "I understand where your coming from with that."
