I've had this set up for a fair few years and its been running well until today. I kept getting BSOD errors so I've hopefully narrowed it down to some bad ram?

I had the CPU running at over 4ghz for a long time but now with messing about with it I've lost my OC. It's been so long I cant actually remember how I did it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Think I have fried my CPU. Was messing with the voltage and tried to boot at 2v.. I know I know. Now it wont boot at all with a "00" on the motherboard :-(

Nothing. Trying to get it done quick with a 1 year old at my ancles. Forgot I only had it at 1.2v before. Never a good idea. A well its done now :-(

Got it apart now will try put it back together with fresh paste later to see whats whats. Hope the mobo isn't toast or I'm stuffed :-(

Im about to pick up a 2nd hand i5 3570k on ebaybfor £40 but new boys comment about frying the vrm has got me worried.

At post I get a 00 code on the mobo but I cant find what that means?

Well Im going to buy the 2nd hand 3570 sonI will see in a couple of days. Hope its only the cpu?

Yes tried a few times. Starting to think the mobo is dead although all the fans spin up and lights come on?

I will wait till the replacement arrives. Just stressing myself out wondering what it could be at this point

It is the 3570k I've got and a 3570k Im replacing it with.

Just checked the mobo specs and there is a "Q Led" that checks

CPU, DRAM, VGA card, and booting devices during the booting sequence

If one or more is at fault the corresponding LED will light. My mobo has the CPU LED lit up so hopefully that is what it is

Been reading up on deliding. Might give it a go when the replacement arrives. Obviously I will practice on the dead CPU 1st. What method did you use new boy?

Well I've installed the replacement CPU and its finally booting. Booting and running @ 4.4ghz @ 1.25v which I think is pretty high for that. I think my cooler is pretty poor tbh. Whats a better one to get for the i5 3570k. Thanks
